Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the CareerOS app and services, operated by AutotecHUB, Lagos, Nigeria. By creating an account or using CareerOS you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, and our Refund Policy explains refunds.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Give accurate information and keep your password and Transfer PIN secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Don't create accounts to collect welcome or referral bonuses.
• Tell us at careeros.info@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Opportunities

Jobs, internships, scholarships and company information come from employers, official sources and job boards. We check sources and remove listings that close, but we are not the employer and cannot guarantee a listing is still open, accurate or that you will be hired. Always apply through the official link, and never pay anyone to get a job.

4. CV tools, guidance and the AI Interview Coach

ATS scores, CV improvements, layouts, interview feedback, career insights and other guidance are tools to help you prepare. They are not a guarantee of how an employer or applicant-tracking system will treat your application. Only include true information in your CV. CareerOS never adds experience you did not provide, and you remain responsible for what you submit.

The AI Interview Coach is an AI system, not a person. Its questions and feedback may be imperfect; it is practice, not a real interview or an assessment by any employer.

5. CareerOS Credits

• Credits unlock premium features such as AI interviews and CV exports. The price of each feature is shown before you use it.
• Credits have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money and can only be used in CareerOS. They do not expire.
• Credits are bought through Google Play, and Google Play's payment terms apply to purchases. You can also earn bonus credits (for example, by watching a rewarded ad or when a friend you invite verifies their account).
• If a paid feature fails on our side, the credits are returned automatically (for example, an AI interview that can't start, or a CV layout we can't generate, is never charged).
• You may send credits you bought or received from another user to another CareerOS user, within the limits shown in the app. Transfers are confirmed with your Transfer PIN and are final once confirmed, so check the recipient's CareerOS ID carefully. Bonus credits can't be transferred.
• We may correct credits added by mistake and may reverse or freeze credits obtained through fraud, chargebacks or abuse of rewards or referrals.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

6. Community rules

When you post, comment, message or build a public profile, you agree not to:

• post fake jobs, ask candidates for money, or run scams, pyramid or "pay to get hired" schemes;
• harass, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate anyone;
• share other people's personal information without permission, or post illegal, sexual, violent or hateful content;
• spam, advertise without permission, or try to break, scrape or overload CareerOS.

You keep ownership of what you post and give us permission to host and show it in CareerOS so the feature works. We may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts that break these rules. Use the Report option to flag anything that does.

7. Ads

The free tier is supported by ads from Google AdMob. Ads are labelled and never shown during tests, interviews or settings.

8. Our content

The CareerOS app, name, logo and our own content belong to AutotecHUB. You may use them only to use CareerOS. Employer names and logos belong to their owners. Some articles are adapted from openly licensed sources and credited on the article.

9. Deleting or closing an account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or as described here. Unused credits are lost when an account is deleted. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.

10. Liability

CareerOS is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for decisions made by employers, or for content posted by other users or third parties. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; if a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions: careeros.info@gmail.com.
